My wife and I love, love, loved our experience. We are in our seventies and hadn’t had a check up in a while. We were dreading the appointment. We can’t say enough about how wonderful and friendly the staff are. Dr. David Dillard is not only highly educated in his field (Univ. of Mich.), he is very humorous and puts you at ease. We highly recommend his services. 😁😃
I’ve been coming here for probably over a decade now, I think. WOW. I literally travel from VA to go to this location because this is the only dentistry I trust. Always professional. Recently, got all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted here...Dr. Dillard was right when he told me years back they would cause problems later on, but of course I didn’t listen...Follow his recommendations! He knows what he’s talking about. Definitely a place your whole family can go to, and you’ll feel welcomed.
UPDATED REVIEW: Uggghh, I really had high hopes that this will be my family’s forever dentist…..but sadly, it’s not. I developed a dry socket after a tooth extraction (from sneezing) and had to wait 4 days (with pain) before Dr. Dillard was able to see me and fix the problem. I was not given an after-hours number nor is there one on the website or voicemail, so I was stuck. I also had pain in the gum area above the extraction site due to residual bone fragments that were created during a difficult extraction (the tooth was broken below gumline). When I saw Dr. Dillard, he addressed the dry socket, put in stitches and said he will take care of the other issue at a later time, once I’ve healed. The next day I received a call to see how I was doing and during the conversation, I asked do I need to return to have the stitches removed or are they absorbable (I was not given any of this information the day the stitches were placed). I was told by the office person that she would ask Dr. Dillard and let me know. I was also told that she will update the voicemail so that it states what number to call for after-hours problems. Considering this was the Thursday before Memorial Day, she wanted to make sure the number was available should I have any problems during the long weekend; they are closed on Fridays and are only open one Saturday/month. Fortunately, I had no issues but that following Monday, I did!! I was in a lot of pain and called the office. They were already closed but I was expecting to hear the after-hours number on the voicemail since I was told that would be updated. Nope….no number and they open late on Tuesday (1:00 pm). It was at that time that I decided I will have to find another dentist. Yes, I could have called the office the next day and I understand I’m not their only patient but at this point, I see a pattern and did not want to have to deal with this continually. For the most part Dr. Dillard is a good dentist and most of my issues is from his staff (front office and dental assistant not telling me when to return or if I need to return to have my stitches removed). However, the staff is an integral part of the services provided and I have to factor that into my evaluation of this office. FIRST REVIEW: My previous dentist was no longer in-network with my insurance so I had to find a new dentist. After researching and reading reviews, I settled upon WCRD. Going in, I already knew that one tooth had to be pulled and another one may need a root canal. What impressed me with Dr. Dillard is that for the tooth that needed a root canal, his main goal was to ‘restore’ rather than putting in a crown. Not only is that more cost effective but it utilizes my natural teeth rather than inserting artificial things. In short, I’m very happy with this dentist and his staff. While some reviews disagree, I think it’s very subjective and that’s okay. My only qualm is there does not seem to be after-hours care or an on-call backup should you have problems outside of normal working hours. The only reason I did not rate this office with 5 stars is because I have not been a patient long enough to give that high of a mark.
Be very careful and verify your dental benefits before seeing this guy. Yallania says she had direct access to our insurance carrier but never verified full mouth x-rays. Paid for services rendered over $700 and when received EOB our portion was $117 less so we want our money back. But now they are saying we owe for full mouth x-rays $115 which they never verified with our insurance that we weren't eligible for another year. How convenient for them to keep our $117. Thought this may have been a better dentist office than the prior ones we've been too due to the great reviews but I guess we can put them the "deceitful money grubbers" list. Oh, and before they can say they don't have me as a patient, you don't--this is regarding my husband. I was going to see them as a new patient but I'm going back to Dr. Thomas at Rolling Ridge Dentistry--sorry we ever left them.
I’ve been to several Dentists and I must say that Dr. Dillard really cares about the dental health of his patients . The Dental Hygienists and other staff really make you feel special and take their time to really ensure that you receive quality service.

I’ve been afraid of the dentist ever since having a frightening childhood experience, I was referred to Dr. David Dillard a few years back by a family member and I’ve had the most amazing experience ever. Dr. Dillard and staff are ver knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, kind and understanding, he has done a complete restoration on my mouth and has given me back my confidence that I once had I feel born again! I thank Dr. Dillard and staff and I pray that they continue to give such well needed services in our community.
